Oracle BI Publisher report formats can be designed using Microsoft Word or Adobe Acrobat, the tools that are easy to use and broadly adopted. Therefore, all BI Publisher documents are automatically pixel perfect and important attributes such as corporate identity are easy to maintain.
Oracle BI Publisher also allows you to create reports from different types of data sources such as Oracle Database, Files, OBIEE and Discoverer. These reports can be published online or can be scheduled for automated delivery to the end user.

The only requirement for BI Publisher to work properly is that the required data is fed into the BI Publisher Engine.
