ShipConsole
A robust, enterprise strength, easy-to-use software for integration between Oracle
Applications and freight
carriers like UPS, FedEx, DHL and various LTL carriers. Use ShipConsole for online
shipment processing, tracking, Instant Proof of Delivery (POD) documentation, freight

The Challenge
The shipping process is often not fully integrated with the ERP system requiring the use
of multiple systems
to process shipments and hence resulting in the storage of shipment tracking and freight
charge information
on systems separate from the core ERP system. This causes delays in tracking shipments
from the ERP system, delays in receivable collections without easy access to the PoD
documents and causes inaccuracies in customer profitability information as the actual
freight charges are often not included in the product cost.

An example of the disparate systems in use is Oracle Applications for ERP and the PC based
UPS Worldship software for shipping. This results in the storage of tracking and freight
charge information in the Worldship system rather than being integrated with the order
information in Oracle. This results in duplicating customer addresses in the UPS Worldship
software, which could lead to inaccuracies and penalties imposed by freight carriers. The
ship confirmation in Oracle is not automated and takes much time to manually duplicate the
tracking information from the shipping software back to Oracle.
