PL/SQL Coding Standards:
Apps Associates follows industry defined PL/SQL coding standards. All our
employees have to go through a rigorous training schedule which includes the coding and
development standards. This includes naming conventions for any database objects,
error-handling mechanisms for all business cases, keeping track of change-history and
preparing functional and technical designs explaining the development.
Forms Development:
Apps Associates has worked on many forms customizations including adding zoom
forms for standard form, creating new Oracle forms for data entry.
Reports Development:
Apps Associates has very good Oracle Reports 6i expertise. We have worked in
tandem with our clients IT team in delivering business reports and customer facing
reports. We have worked closely in integrating third-party vendors like Optio for adding
the layout and images.
Apps Associates has worked extensively on Discoverer reports for internal users, XML
Publisher Reports to provide the complete customer facing functionality.
Workflow Development Standards:
Apps Associates, with its workflow expertise helped clients in better managing
other workflow extensions including Cost of Goods Workflow customization, Sales Quote
Approval customization, Supplier Invoice Approval customization and Task-Messaging
customization for Service Requests.
In Depot Repair module, the ship and RMA order workflow was customized to process the RMA
line only when the ship-line was shipped and closed. This enabled the client in better
tracking the shipped and received items and also keeping tack of inventory and financial
price for the items that are waiting for approval for long periods.
Java Development Standards:
In addition to the Oracle forms as the user-interface, Applications are
accessible through browser and this is by using Java technology for user interface. Many
modules are currently developed using Java, JSP technologies including Projects, Sales
Online, Install Base, i-Store and i-Payment.
Apps Associates has worked extensively in adding additional functionality that was
required for business purposes and customizing existing functionality when required. As
part of the implementation, team from Apps Associates brings in industry standard
development standards for easier manageability during patches and upgrades.
Apps Associates has worked on customization of standard functionality in adding additional
update criteria and adding business rules based on the client processes.
In Sales Online and Oracle Quoting modules, the standard process was customized to add
additional business logic. For example, in Sales Online, at Opportunity tab, we had added
additional data columns that can be used for better search. This was in addition to the
descriptive flex-fields. |
