Apps Associates at Collaborate 18 Speaker Blog Series: Meet Kai Glittenberg!

I hope you are enjoying our blog post speaker series for Collaborate 18. Let me introduce you to our next featured speaker, Kai Glittenberg.

glittenbergKai is based in our offices in Dortmund, Germany.  He undertook his studies in computer science at the University of Dortmund and it was during this period he began working at Apps Associates at the end of 2008.  His knowledge of Oracle technologies deepened when he started to work at Apps Associates. So, he has been with us for nearly 10 years and we are pleased he continues his career with us. He currently works as a Senior DBA Consultant with a focus in the DBA apps area but he now finds his focus is increasingly switching to Cloud Infrastructure Services.

Las vegasCollaborateKai always found himself interested in Oracle technologies beginning with his focus on DBA apps. What he likes most is the need to know the whole stack – from the infrastructure over to the Database up to the client PC. That is how he mastered the apps DBA area. It is never one specific technology and he finds the same is true for the Cloud Infrastructure Services. When he is not working, he most enjoys spending time with his family (with three young children) where there is always something new to experience. He is also enjoys sports. He plays handball (30 years) and likes to ride the mountain bike.

Kai’s session is titled, “Oracle E-Business Suite CX – Digital Proof in a Modern Mobile Driven Customer Order Process”.  Kai is sharing his session with an Oracle E-Business Suite customer, Carglass. It is the customer perspective from a real business case and that is what Kai feels makes for an interesting, productive session. The session will show the interaction of custom mobile applications and Oracle E-Business Suite, explain the requirements for European data privacy laws, and explain the technical challenges in creating BI Publisher documents. There will also be discussions about technical improvements. Kai really enjoys these types of sessions that are customer driven.
