John Schmottlach

John has been helping companies optimize their business systems investments for over 25 years.  John started his career in manufacturing and quality, focusing on how business systems could assist with communication between the customer, the plant floor, and customer service.  Later, John joined a startup company as a COO who evaluated software packages to replace his company’s back-end systems.  Following the successful implementation, John was driven to start in consulting to help customers take advantage of the lessons learned in his implementation experience.  Over the years, John has worked in consulting organizations and customer sites, always with a focus on architecting enterprise applications to best solve company challenges.  This experience has provided John with a strong customer perspective that he instills in his team. 

Prior to joining Apps Associates, John worked for Empirix, TriCore Solutions, RSM McGladrey, and Whitbread Technology Partners.  John has been involved with over 125 full cycle system implementations around ERP, SCM, CRM, HCM, EPM, Analytics, and Integration platforms.  John believes that the customer experience doesn’t start and end with one software package, and the best solutions integrate across various platforms. 

John resides in Walpole, MA with his wife and three children.  John is a passionate baseball and football fan, and attends as many games as possible.  John’s children are very active in sports, music, and robotics and John supports and volunteers at these activities.  John loves to spend time with his family at the beach and traveling.
